pre-apprenticeship program:

Building On Occupational Skilled Trades

Program Overview

The BOOST program at Western States College of Construction is a new 72-hour pre-apprenticeship program designed to give you a head start in the skilled trades. Whether you are looking to pivot careers or are just starting out, BOOST provides the foundational knowledge, a safety certification, and hands-on experience that apprenticeship programs look for in their candidates. However, admission into a Registered Apprenticeship program is a separate, competitive process managed by individual Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committees (JATCs). BOOST does not guarantee employment or apprenticeship placement upon graduation.
